The belief that our genetics determined our health destiny was a narrative deeply ingrained in my mindset, leading me to a point where self-doubt overshadowed my potential for change.
The turning point came with the birth of my beautiful daughter in 2014. Weighing over 200 lbs, I found myself at a crossroads, enveloped in happiness for the new life I brought into the world but simultaneously struggling with personal discontent about my health and self-image. It wasn't until 2022 that I decided to take control of my narrative and embark on a journey towards wellness—a journey defined not by the scales but by a newfound appreciation for nutrition, the strength and discipline of weight training, and the resilience to take it one day at a time.
This transformative experience wasn't just about shedding pounds; it was about uncovering a passion for helping others break free from their own cycles of doubt and dissatisfaction. I realized that if I could navigate the complexities of changing a lifetime's habits and mindset, I could empower others to do the same.
